Sure, it’s sorta weird having Halloween on a Monday since we just exited the last party weekend of spooky season. Maybe it’s time to veg out eating candy or handing it out to kids, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to be over.

Here are some spine-tingling or funny-bone-ticklin’ clips to keep the festive spirit alive, from The Simpsons’ “Treehouse of Horror” (which was really good this year!), throwbacks to haunt season at the theme parks, music inspired by the Haunted Mansion, and some Scooby-Doo parody fun.

Happy Halloween from us at io9!

Nope Horror Nights Highlight

Nope Horror Nights Highlight

If you didn’t get a chance to visit Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood and experience the Jupiter’s Claim section of the Terror Tram, here’s a sizzle of it. Loved the creepiness of the Get Out teacup lady and the tethered character from Us walking around the set from Nope.

David S. Pumpkins Returns!

David S. Pumpkins Returns!

Tom Hanks reprised his cheerfully chaotic Halloween uncle persona on Saturday Night Live just in time for Halloween. Hope he gets a live-action movie, this generation needs an Ernest Scared Stupid-esque spooky holiday movie from probably the best thing SNL has done in a long time. Give him a Raid high-rise parody flick.

Disney Parks Performer of the Season: Ernesto de la Cruz

Disney Parks Performer of the Season: Ernesto de la Cruz

Whew, I am dead serious when I tell you the Disney and haunt community went full thirst for this face character at Oogie Boogie Bash 2023. The bad guy from Disney Pixar’s Coco, yes… that bad guy who suddenly when brought to life gained a theme park cult following. Bring him back next year in his own show!

If Scooby Doo Was Latino

Comedian, internet personality, and Jellystone voice actress Jenny Lorenzo released a new Halloween special on her character skit-driven YouTube channel inspired by Scooby-Doo. If Scooby Doo Was Latino parodies the Mystery Gang as a group of Miami-based paranormal investigators. Check out last year’s Addams Family skit too.

Words cannot describe how disturbing and weird The Paloni Show Halloween special is. I will never look at banana peel costumes the same again (shudder). The full episode is on Hulu!
