College basketball fans were treated to another jam-packed, upset-filled weekend of action, highlighted by West Virginia’s victory over Kansas and Pittsburgh’s unforeseen win over Duke.
Following the madness, FOX Sports bracket forecaster Mike DeCourcy has some major changes in his latest NCAA Tournament projections.
Houston has jumped up to a No. 1 seed following an impressive win over UCF on Saturday. The Cougars are the top seed in the West Region and are joined by UConn (East), North Carolina (South) and Purdue (Midwest) on the 1-line.
Wisconsin, Tennessee, Kansas and Arizona are the No. 2 seeds in DeCourcy’s latest projections, while Kentucky, Baylor and Marquette remain No. 3 seeds and are now joined by Auburn.
Meanwhile, Illinois, Creighton Oklahoma and Duke make up the No. 4 seeds.
As for the teams on the bubble, DeCourcy has Nevada, Kansas State, Boise State and Colorado as his last four teams in the tournament. Texas, Providence, Ohio State and Gonzaga are the first four teams out, while Virginia, Drake, Cincinnati and Oregon are the next four teams out.
The Big 12 has the most representatives in DeCourcy’s compilation with nine teams, with the SEC second with eight teams.
