Babyface has signed with Capitol Records for his next album, Girls’ Night Out, which will feature Ella Mai, Queen Naija, Ari Lennox, Kehlani, Doechii and more. Co-produced by Babyface and Rika Tischendorf, the album is due out October 29.

Speaking on his new label deal, Babyface said in a statement, “I am extremely honored and humbled to be signing to a legacy label like Capitol. They have welcomed me with open arms and treat me like family. And, in the end, that is what it’s all about – doing what you love with people who have the same love for music as you do. I am very excited about the upcoming album and everyone on it. The process for it reminded me of when I did Waiting to Exhale and I’m excited for the world to hear.”

Capitol Music Group chair and CEO Michelle Jubelirer added, “Babyface’s return to the studio is long overdue, and I couldn’t be happier that he’s chosen Capitol as the home for such a wonderful new album. To hear his one-of-a-kind voice paired with some of music’s most impressive female artists is a joy that we can’t wait to share.”

Babyface released the collaborative track “Fallin” feat. Ella Mai earlier this month. The pair performed the upcoming album’s lead single on Sunday (June 26) at the 2022 BET Awards live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

Born Kenneth Brian Edmonds, Babyface has released a total of 10 studio albums, the most recent being 2015’s Return of the Tender Lover released by Def Jam. Over the course of his career, he’s won a total of 11 Grammys and charted five top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100.
