Craig Adams was 67 years old.

Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, revealed that the family is “heartbroken” over the death of the singer’s longtime bodyguard and personal trailer, Craig Adams. In a loving Instagram post Aug. 11, Lawson revealed that Adams, 67, died recently after contracting COVID-19.

“I found out this morning that this amazing human being Craig Adams from Houston passed away last night from Covid,” Lawson wrote. “This horrible killer disease attacked his organs, his lungs first made him have kidney failure and as hard as he fought he succumbed to the disease last night.”

According to Houston’s ABC 13, Adams’ family said he was not vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.
