Holly Willoughby ‘under police watch’ amid ‘kidnap plot’ arrest as she’s pulled out of This Morning

TV star Holly Willoughby was reportedly ‘pulled out of This Morning’ and is ‘under police watch’ following an alleged plot to kidnap her.

The presenter, 42, was reportedly pulled from Wednesday’s programme (October 4) after discovering the alleged threat and was later given protection by police.

Sources have told the Sun that the star was watched by a ‘police guard’ after a 36-year-old man was arrested at a flat in Harlow, Essex on Wednesday. “Police are treating this as a credible conspiracy to kidnap Holly,” said a source.

The news outlet reported that TV presenter was said to be ‘distraught’ after finding out about the reported kidnapping plans and was taken out of ITV’s schedule as a result.

The suspect was in police custody on Wednesday night as a police car remained stationed outside his Essex apartment. One neighbour told the Sun: “I saw him being led out of his flat in handcuffs last night at about nine o’clock.”

The news outlet has claimed that a ’round-the-clock police guard’ had been posted outside Holly’s home, in London, where she lives with her family. A source reportedly said that there were ‘apparently some sinister and threatening messages found on electronic devices’.

Alison Hammond was said to have been called in as a last-minute replacement alongside presenter Josie Gibson.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “A 36-year-old man from Harlow has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap as part of an ongoing investigation.

“The arrest was made on Wednesday 4 October.

“He is currently in custody.

“Enquiries continue.”
