A statement on the club’s official website on Tuesday read: We would like to dismiss and distance ourselves from fraudulent messages of ‘Kaizer Chiefs or Ace Khuse or Ramahlwe Mphahlele Trials’ that are making rounds via various social media platforms. Any message of trials is not authentic, and we would like to dismiss it with the contempt it deserves. We advise the public not to fall for this trap by impersonators and fraudsters.

We urge the public to be thorough in their verification of messages they receive in the name of Kaizer Chiefs or those associated with the Club. Once more, we call on everyone to contact the Club directly when they receive suspicious messages of trials by checking our social media platforms or phoning us on 011 941 1465.

The bogus invites totally misrepresent Kaizer Chiefs, Ace Khuse and Ramahlwe Mphahlele. Kaizer Chiefs coaches or players don’t issue out invitations for trials.

The perpetrators of these kinds of crooked acts are warned and will be dealt with through the provisions of the law.
