Monday Night Football live updates: Bengals take lead over Jaguars

Week 13 of the NFL season came to a close with the Cincinnati Bengals taking down the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 34-31 overtime thriller on Monday Night Football, and we’ve got you covered with all the highlights and must-see moments from EverBank Stadium.

In the absence of the injured Joe Burrow, Bengals backup quarterback Jake Browning turned in an incredible performance, completing 32 of his 37 passes for 354 yards and a touchdown.

Even more concerning for Jaguars fans, Trevor Lawrence left with a gruesome-looking ankle injury of his own late in the fourth quarter.

Lawrence was initially diagnosed with an ankle sprain and will have an MRI on Tuesday, per NFL Media.

Here are the top moments.

Cincinnati Bengals at Jacksonville Jaguars

Welcome to DUUUVAL!

Star Jaguars pass-rusher Josh Allen ended the opening drive of the game for the Bengals with a fourth-down sack of Jake Browning.

Christian Kirk hurt early

The star Jaguars wide receiver went down with an injury after catching a 26-yard pass on Jacksonville’s first offensive snap of the game. He eventually limped off the field and into the locker room.

Travis Tuddy!

After Trevor Lawrence’s quarterback sneak on fourth down kept the Jaguars’ opening drive alive, Travis Etienne Jr. made it count with his eighth touchdown of the year.

Ja’Marr Chase, one of one

Chase may be without his longtime quarterback Burrow, but he is still one of the NFL’s best receivers, as demonstrated by this incredible one-handed catch.

What a response!

The Bengals are trying to send a message that they will not go away quietly, capping off a stellar drive from Browning with a strong touchdown run from Joe Mixon.

Jaguars get it right back!

Lawrence and the Jaguars marched right down the field for a six-minute, 10-play drive culminating in tight end Evan Engram’s first touchdown of the season to give Jacksonville a 14-7 lead.

Punch for punch!

Jake Browning continues to sling it, leading Cincinnati right down the field again for another drive resulting in a Joe Mixon touchdown run.

Browning is BALLING!

Jake Browning is trending at halftime as he has the Bengals surprisingly tied with Jacksonville after they entered as 10-point underdogs.

Right where they left off!

Browning and Chase exposed a busted Jaguars defense for a 76-yard touchdown to open the third quarter, Cincinnati’s longest play from scrimmage for the entire season.

Dax Hill nearly had an interception on a Lawrence pass to the end zone, but instead it bounced off off Hill’s hands and into that of Parker Washington for a first career touchdown catch Washington will never forget.

What was that?

The first turnover of the game game belongs to Jaguars star Josh Allen thanks to this busted trick play that saw Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd throw an interception right to the pass-rusher.

Leaping for six!

Trevor Lawrence lept into the end zone on fourth and goal to give the lead back to Jacksonville.

Bengals tie it back up!

Jake Browning continues to excel, this time rushing for a touchdown to tie the game back up after completing a pass to Ja’Marr Chase on fourth down.

Trevor Lawrence hurt

Lawrence’s ankle bent awkwardly after one of his offensive linemen stepped on it, and he crumpled in pain on the field. He then left the game after failing to put weight on his leg.

Bengals take the lead

Evan McPherson kicked home the game’s first field goal to give Cincinnati the lead with under two minutes remaining.

Free football!

Backup quarterback C.J. Beathard did just enough to lead Jacksonville on a field goal drive that forced overtime.

Another amazing Ja’Marr Chase catch!

This juggling grab in overtime came when the Bengals needed it most.

Who Dey!

Jake Browning’s incredible night ended in one more drive to put the Bengals in field goal position, and McPherson hit the game-winning kick.
