The Friends of Old Headington are giving people an opportunity to look behind the walls of some of the areas lovely houses and gardens with their annual Open Gardens community event.

Fourteen gardens will be open as well as the revamped churchyard of St Andrew’s Church.

The event is on Sunday July 4 from 2.30 – 5.30pm. Teas and home-made cakes in the Village Hall will be provided by Otmoor WI and there will be a plant stall selling seedlings and cuttings ready for planting.

It costs £5 for adults to view all gardens; accompanied children are free.

Tickets are available at each garden and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
