Uganda COVID19 Cases Now at 30 in 1 Week!

The ministry has just confirmed seven new COVID19 cases in Uganda totalling to 30 in just a week.

“7 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Uganda today, Saturday, 28 March 2020. This brings the total to 30 confirmed cases in the country.

Out of 225 samples run today, 218 samples have tested negative for COVID-19.” Reads a statement on the ministry’s official Facebook page.

The president of Uganda recently revealed that most of the new cases are because of people that traveled about and mixed with the population on return without isolating for the recommended 14 days.

Museveni also promised to take more drastic measures to prevent the spread of the virus after suspending all public transport for 14 days this week.

The good news from the ministry however is that, there is no deaths and the patients are recovering steadily as told by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary; Dr.Diana Atwiine
