The summer transfer window won’t reopen in Europe for a while yet, but there are plenty of moves in the works and gossip swirling around. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!
TOP STORY: Bastoni, Barella, Thuram to all exit as Inter eye rebuild
Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolò Barella and Marcus Thuram are among the players who could leave Serie A leaders Internazionale in the summer, according to Tuttosport.
With an 11-point buffer on second-placed AC Milan with just eight games to go, Inter will almost certainly be crowned Italian champions this season. However, the Nerazzurri will know that winning a Scudetto does not necessarily mean that they will retain their best players, as they lost Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku three years ago after doing just that.
Inter Milan’s performances this term have gained plenty of attention, with Bastoni, Barella and Thuram all shining, and head coach Simone Inzaghi being looked at by Premier League strugglers Manchester United.
Despite that, it is unlikely that Lautaro Martínez will leave, as he is the captain and happy at the San Siro, which means the club would reportedly only accept an offer of over €120 million for him. It is suggested, however, that a sum closer to €80m would trigger deals for Bastoni, Barella or Thuram.
This comes with Inter needing funds to make signings, with Genoa attacker Albert Gudmundsson, Torino centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno and a back-up goalkeeper among the desired incomings.
Pep Guardiola likes Bastoni but Manchester City have already invested in Josko Gvardiol, while Real Madrid could also look at the 24-year-old centre-back.
Barella has received plenty of interest from Premier League clubs and Chelsea could move for the 27-year-old midfielder despite him being close to a contract renewal.
While Inter are keen not to end the partnership between Thuram and Martinez, Manchester United and Arsenal are looking at the former, while Paris Saint-Germain could also move for the 26-year-old forward as they prepare to lose Kylian Mbappé.

PAPER GOSSIP
– Napoli are viewing Lille forward Jonathan David and Feyenoord star Santiago Giménez as potential summer replacements for Victor Osimhen, says Corriere dello Sport. Finding a suitable replacement for the 25-year-old will be vital for Gli Azzurri due to his importance for them, as was best outlined during their Scudetto-winning campaign.
– Internazionale are thinking of making a move for Mario Hermoso, with the defender’s Atletico Madrid contract expiring at the end of the season, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. There will be competition for the 28-year-old, though, with Juventus having followed him for a year while there is also interest from the Saudi Pro League and the Premier League.
– Borussia Dortmund are hopeful that they will be able to sign VfB Stuttgart winger Chris Führich, according to Sport Bild, with Sven Mislintat — BVB’s former sporting director who has been linked with a return to the club — having been the person to take Führich from Paderborn to Stuttgart. Bayern Munich also want to sign the 26-year-old, who reportedly has a €24m release clause.
– MLS clubs LA Galaxy and Inter Miami CF are both interested in Sevilla centre-back Sergio Ramos, according to Ekrem Konur. This comes with the 38-year-old’s current contract expiring at the end of the season.
– Fulham are looking at Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips (who is on loan at West Ham United), Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino (on loan at Swansea City) and Coventry City’s Callum O’Hare as they aim to strengthen their midfield, reports FootballTransfers. This comes with João Palhinha potentially being set to leave Craven Cottage amid European interest, although there will be competition from Leeds United for Phillips.
