Grammys 2025: Beyoncé Makes History, Kendrick Lamar Dominates, and New Stars Shine

Beyoncé made headlines by winning her first-ever Album of the Year Grammy for Cowboy Carter, a genre-defying masterpiece that redefined country music. Taylor Swift presented the award, calling it a “long-overdue recognition” for Beyoncé’s unparalleled artistry.

Kendrick Lamar swept the rap categories, taking home Record of the YearSong of the Year, and Best Rap Performance for his hit Not Like Us. His powerful lyrics and social commentary resonated deeply with fans and critics alike.

In the pop world, Sabrina Carpenter won Best Pop Vocal Album for Short n’ Sweet, while Charli XCX claimed Best Pop Dance Recording for Von Dutch. Meanwhile, Chappell Roan edged out stiff competition to win Best New Artist, marking a breakthrough moment for the rising star.

The night also celebrated global music, with Tems winning Best African Music Performance for Love Me JeJe and Bob Marley: One Love – Music Inspired By The Film (Deluxe) taking home Best Reggae Album.
