Uganda Confirms Two More Ebola Cases, Bringing Total to Three

The Ministry of Health – Uganda has confirmed two new cases of Ebola Sudan, raising the total number of cumulative cases to three. The latest victims were already under isolation as they had been identified as contacts of the index case.

So far, Uganda has recorded one death from the outbreak, and health authorities have identified 234 contacts who are being closely monitored to prevent further spread. The government, alongside health partners, is intensifying efforts to contain the virus, including contact tracing, surveillance, and community sensitization.

The Ministry of Health has urged the public to remain vigilant, report any suspected cases, and adhere to preventive measures, including frequent handwashing and avoiding contact with suspected Ebola patients.

Authorities are working closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) and other global health agencies to curb the spread of the virus.
