Amy Hillis Releases New Single “Faithful & True” Combining 80s Vibes with a Powerful Message

Singer-songwriter Amy Hillis is back with her latest release, Faithful & True, a single that’s quickly capturing attention for its infectious 80s-inspired sound and timeless message. With catchy lyrics and a melody that listeners can’t help but hum along to, the track is already being dubbed a must-listen anthem for those looking for both nostalgic feel and deeper spiritual reflection.

Speaking about her inspiration for the track on the EjazzMixshow with Mark-Xtreme on Ejazz Radio, Hillis shared, “I wrote this song with my friend Marty Lamain, and for me, it’s become a song to hang on to on those hard days. Because y’all, life is hard, right? But when we remember the truth about who Jesus is and how deeply He cares for us, it does not matter what else in life may change, we still have hope because of Him.”

If you love uplifting music with a message (who doesn’t ?) , Faithful & True is a track you’ll find yourself singing all day long—and it’s one that’s sure to stay in your heart.

About Amy Hillis
Traveling often with her evangelist grandparents as a child, Amy had a front row seat to the power of music in worship. Portable PA systems, colorful foam mic covers and spirited piano accompaniment framed her first solos in church. As a teen, she jumped at every opportunity to sing. From church groups to school groups to just hanging out and making music with friends, it was clear her future would revolve around music.  After spending many years studying classical music, Amy recognized the value of that training but found it did not reflect her heart’s cry. Once again the church provided the opportunity for worship through music and Amy began to grow into the sound that defines her unique style. She was grateful for the chance to be used as special music for retreats and various events, as well as leading corporate worship.  However, it wasn’t until 2021 that she discovered she is as passionate about sharing her story as she is singing.  Her life-long love of music collided with her newly discovered affection for storytelling, giving us her first album, Let the Holy Roar. It comes as no surprise that telling the stories behind the songs is what makes her most excited to share the good work of grace in her life with others. Amy believes wholeheartedly we were made for community and there is no better way to nurture each other than through the sharing of our pain and joy as the Lord continues to accomplish His good work in us. Thanks be to God He always finishes what He starts!

Married in 1998, Amy and her husband Richard make their home in Oklahoma, where they were both born and raised. While nothing about their current normal is anything they could have anticipated all those years ago, their relationship with each other has been a God given constant for which they are both grateful. Like it was for so many families, 2020 proved to be a seminal year in the life of the Hillis crew. As graduates of public school, Richard and Amy never envisioned homeschooling to be in their future. In fact, it was not uncommon to hear Amy say she could “never homeschool.” However, God had other plans and now she, along with their two teenagers, are thriving in a beautiful Classical Conversations community. While staying on top of the kids’ classical education is demanding, Amy continues to be an avid reader and still enjoys reading multiple books at one time.  As a self proclaimed foodie, Amy is the person her family and friends text when they are in need of a great restaurant. If you are any where near her home during the holidays, odds are you will walk away with a to go box of whatever she’s been cooking and most likely a pan of homemade cinnamon rolls. Authentic relationships, thought provoking books, meaningful conversation and spectacular food are the hallmarks of Amy’s day to day life.
