APC ‘ll reclaim Oyo from PDP in 2027 – Official
Acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state, Alhaji Olayide Abas, on Wednesday said the party would reclaim the state governorship seat from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027.
Alhaji Abas said this while receiving APC leaders and stalwarts from the six local government councils in Ibadan Outer City zone during a solidarity visit at the Oke-Ado, state secretariat of the party.
He stressed that this was in view of the readiness of all stakeholders in the party to work together as a member of the same family.
“With the array of eminent personalities in this delegation and the message you have passed with your visit today, I am happy to state that our party is ready for the challenges ahead and we shall leave no stone unturned to ensure that APC return to power in Oyo state in 2027”, he said.
Abas added, “I have met virtually all the stakeholders across the state and I can tell you categorically that enduring peace and harmony has returned to our party”.
“Almost everyone who left the party in the build up to the last general election is back while we have been receiving requests from members of other political parties, including the ruling PDP, to join the APC”.
The APC Acting State Chairman noted, “We were in Ibadan North last week to receive hundreds of former PDP chieftains into our Party and there are strong indications that the trend will continue unabated.”
“In other words, we are working round the clock to further entrench the fact that APC is the party to beat in the state anytime”.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Alhaji Ajisalauded the Acting Chairman on the renewed efforts being put in place to enforce unity, stability and discipline among party faithful.
“We have observed that our new Chairman is focused on bringing Oyo APC back to the part of stability, cohesion and progress. But we are not surprised in view of his track record of discipline, diligence and passion for the progressivism. On this new journey, we have no doubt that we will succeed together”.
