The Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC)  will soon introduce rule changes regarding the use of the whip by jockeys at Caymanas Park.

On Thursday, the JRC hosted a seminar where jockeys were invited to give their thoughts on the use of the whip. The plan is to restrict the use of the whip to no more than 6 times in the last two furlongs of races.

The JRC wants to implement the new rule by the end of this year into the start of the new year.
