Miranda Lambert Lights Up CMA Awards With ‘Kerosene’-Soaked Opening Medley

What followed was a tour of some of the star’s biggest hits, including “Mama’s Broken Heart,” “Bluebird” and “Little Red Wagon.” Closing out her explosive opening number, Lambert launched into “Gunpowder & Lead,” bringing the audience to its feet as a pile of sparking pyrotechnics bloomed in the background.

Lambert has reason to celebrate at this year’s CMA Awards: The country star is nominated for three awards, including entertainer of the year and female vocalist of the year.

The show, featuring Luke Bryan as the evening’s host, will also feature performances from Chris Stapleton, Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton and many more of country’s biggest stars.
