Noah Hawley Teases Alien: Earth‘s Horrifying Xenomorph Variants
M. Night Shyamalan is already gearing up for his next movie. Ben Whishaw expects he’s made his last appearance as James Bond‘s Q. Matt Reeves gives an update on Batman: The Caped Crusader season 2. Plus, there’s still time for more Agatha All Along teasing before the premiere. Spoilers now!
James Bond 26
In a recent interview with the BBC (via Comic Book), Ben Whishaw stated he doesn’t believe he’ll return as Q in the next James Bond movie, suggesting the plan is “to start all over again” with an entirely new cast.
I don’t think I’m going to be in the next one. I think they’re going to start all over again, and with a new cast, a completely new cast. I think that’s my hunch, but I don’t know. I have no idea. I think it might need a new lease of life and a whole new group of people. But if they asked me, I would do it, of course.
Untitled Steven Spielberg Project
According to Deadline and The Irish Star, Colman Domingo and Eve Hewson are in talks to star in Steven Spielberg’s mysterious new film from writer David Koepp at Amblin and Universal.
Crawl 2
During a recent interview with Comic Book, Crawl 2 director Alexandre Aja admitted he’s having difficulty coming up with a reason why “that many gators” would be in New York City.
The problem in the New York setting is how we’re going to explain [why] that many gators are here. And that’s what we’re working on. But it’s very exciting… I really enjoyed doing Crawl – it was a very hard movie to put together because of the water and the storm and everything. And somehow, enough time has passed that I completely forgot how terrible it was to be in the water all day long, so I’m ready to put my wetsuit back on.
Untitled M. Night Shyamalan Movie
According to a new Instagram post, M. Night Shyamalan is now at work on his seventeenth movie.
Alien: Earth
Speaking with Deadline, Noah Hawley confirmed his upcoming Alien TV series will introduce new variations of the Xenomorph hatched from various host species.
It’s an epic production, and what I can say is, there’s something about seeing a Xenomorph in the wilds of Earth with your own eyes that is truly chilling, to think of it moving here among us. And so I can’t tell you under what circumstances you’ll see that, but you’ll see it — and you’re going to lock your door that night.
What was really fun for me was to really engage with the creature, bring some of my own thoughts to its design while not touching the silhouette, because that’s sacrosanct. But some of the elements as we know, whatever the host is, informs what the final creature is, and so I just wanted to play around a little bit to make it as scary as I thought it could be.
Batman: Caped Crusader
According to Matt Reeves in a new interview with Collider, the second season of Batman: Caped Crusader should premiere sometime next year.
I’m not exactly sure what the trajectory [is], when it is. I would think it would be sooner. I think it would be 2025, not 2026. We’re in the midst of animatics, and the episodes have all been written.
We’re underway in terms of starting to realize the [new season]. You begin with animatics and then it kind of flushes out in the whole [world]. So, it’s exciting. I mean, it’s where we’re deep into it. To be honest with you, this is all kind of new to me too, but I’m super proud of what Bruce and the writers did, and everybody. I’m really proud of that show.
