Pelee Island’s Stone & Sky presents Calypso premiere June 29
Published Jun 22, 2024 • 1 minute read
The world premiere of playwright Jordan Muschler’s Calypso takes place June 29 under the open sky on Pelee Island at The Quarry.
Stone & Sky’s Greek Revival Theatre Festival presents the original play that takes a minor character from the original story and gives her a full-fledged narrative, spinning it into a tale about love and isolation.
Inspired by Homer’s The Odyssey, the story follows the lonely Calypso, trapped on an island for eternity with only the god Hermes as an occasional visitor.
