Prohibitory order clamped near Motto College in Bhadrak
Around 15 platoons of police force have been deployed keeping in view palpable tension prevailing near Motto Degree College in Odisha’s Bhadrak district. Prohibitory orders under section 163 under BNSS has also been clamped to maintain law and order.
This has been done in view of the protests staged by BJD activists as Chandbali MLA was allegedly not invited to the foundation day of the educational institution today.
As per reports, Bhadrak MP Avimanyu Sethi and BJP’s State President Manmohan Samal have been invited to the event as guests. The prohibitory orders have been clamped around 1 km radius of the college and nearby areas till 10 am tomorrow.
“In staff council, all staff decided that as new government has been formed, so we decided to invite those who will work for the development of the college. We want to invite all cutting across political lines so that the college benefits as we do not have Science stream,”said Principal Bibhuti Biswal.
Meanwhile, senior police officials informed that stern action would be taken against those who will resort to vandalism and any kind of indiscipline.
Chandbali SDPO, Kartik Mallick said, “We have clamped prohibitory orders to maintain law and order. Senior police officials are on the spot.
