Rashmika Mandanna’s first looks as Srivalli of Pushpa: The Rule and college girl of ‘The Girlfriend’ released

Rashmika Mandanna celebrates her birthday today. To mark this special occasion, the creators of Pushpa: The Rule have unveiled the first poster featuring her character, Srivalli, from the film franchise. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa stars Allu Arjun as the main lead.

In the poster, Rashmika is adorned in traditional attire, wearing heavy jewelleries and sporting sindoor on her forehead. The close-up shot captures Srivalli, portrayed by Rashmika, as she intensely gazes into the distance with her fingers around her right eye. 

Compared to her appearance in the first film, Rashmika’s mature makeup hints at the sequel’s setting, which is expected to take place several years after the events of the original.

Earlier, Rashmika teased fans about Pushpa 2, promising that it will surpass its predecessor in grandeur. 

“I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that. I just shot for a song for Pushpa 2 and I was just like, ‘How are you guys thinking about this?’ Everyone is so driven to make a good film. All of us have gone all out and are enjoying the process. It’s a story that has no end, you can lead it any which way. It is fun,” she was quoted saying by Pinkvilla.

‘The Girlfriend’ makers also dropped Rashmika’s first look from the movie, in which she is seen in as a college girl. Sharing two pics from the movie, the makers wrote, “Her eyes smile before she does. And they speak the words that she won’t. Here’s introducing #TheGirlfriend Wish you a very very happy birthday and your best year yet @iamRashmika Can’t wait for everyone to see what you’ve done in and as #TheGirlfriend  Wishing you as much joy as we’ve had working with you. #HappyBirthdayRashmika”
