Saskatoon Blades wrap up B.C. WHL road trip with pair of losses
Published Nov 10, 2024 • 1 minute read
A five-game B.C. road trip for the Saskatoon Blades came to an end on Saturday with a 4-3 loss to the host Kamloops Blazers.
The Blazers scored the first four goals of the game, which led to Blades goaltender Ethan McCallum being pulled four minutes and 53 seconds into the second period after allowing four goals on 21 shots.
With Evan Gardner coming into the game and and stopping all 16 of the shots he faced, Saskatoon attempted the comeback, scoring the next three goals — two by Ben Riche and one by Brandon Lisowsky — but came up just short.

While on their road trip, the Blades lost four of their five games, making their overall record 11-5-1-1, but they are still first in the Western Hockey League’s Eastern Conference.
