Three die in two-vehicle crash on Winston Jones Highway

A two-vehicle crash on the Winston Jones Highway in Manchester Tuesday night has left three people dead and nearly a dozen others injured.

According to the police, the crash, which occurred around 9pm involved two taxis – a Toyota Probox and a Toyota Wish – that collided and overturned.

It is not clear what caused the accident.

A number of persons were reportedly ejected from one of the vehicles following the impact.

The injured were rushed to the nearby Mandeville Regional Hospital where two of them were pronounced dead.

Another reportedly died while undergoing treatment.

The deceased have been identified as Wayne Morris of Cheapside in Christiana, Darnley Clark of Spalding, Clarendon, and Fabian Uter of Cobbla district, Manchester.

The others remain hospitalised.

One of the victims reportedly worked at the hospital and was on his way home from work when the accident occurred.
