Tiramisu Martini
If you love tiramisu, odds are you’ll enjoy a tiramisu martini. This creamy, boozy after-dinner drink blends together RumChata, Kahlua, chocolate liqueur and half-and-half to make a decadent and delicious cocktail that’s reminiscent of the namesake Italian dessert. The combination of coffee, chocolate and lightly spiced rum make the cocktail taste like a slice of tiramisu in a cup—especially when you serve it with ladyfingers! Tiramisu martinis are perfect for celebrating a special occasion, or as a treat to for sip on after a long day.
Tiramisu Martini Ingredients
- RumChata: RumChata is a cream liqueur made with Caribbean rum, dairy cream, cinnamon and other flavors.
- Kahlua: Kahlua is a coffee liqueur made with coffee beans and rum. It’s a classic ingredient in coffee-flavored cocktails like mudslides, espresso martinis and white Russians. You can even follow our four-ingredient Kahlua recipe to make it from scratch. Use leftovers in other delicious Kahlua drinks.
- Chocolate liqueur: Chocolate liqueur has a rich chocolate taste. Creme de cacao can be used as a substitute, though it’s not as creamy as chocolate liqueur.
- Half-and-half: Half-and-half adds creaminess to the martini. Heavy whipping cream can provide an even richer flavor.
- Garnish: A dollop of freshly whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder make the perfect garnish. The cocoa powder really makes this drink taste just like tiramisu.
Directions
Step 1: Combine the ingredients
Add the RumChata, Kahlua, chocolate liqueur and half-and-half cream to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Step 2: Shake it up
Cover and shake vigorously until the ingredients are chilled, 20 to 30 seconds.
Step 3: Garnish and serve
Strain the cocktail into a martini glass, garnishing it with a dollop of whipped cream and a dusting of cocoa powder.
Editor’s Tip: Chill the martini glass for 5 to 10 minutes in the freezer before pouring your cocktail into it. This will ensure your cocktail stays colder for longer.

Tiramisu Martini Variations
- Make it with Irish cream: Instead of RumChata, you can make this tiramisu recipe with Baileys Irish cream. Pick up a bottle or try your hand at making homemade Irish cream ahead of time.
- Add more vanilla: For more vanilla flavor, add 1/2 ounce of vanilla vodka.
- Add a chocolate swirl: Drizzle the glass with a swirl of chocolate syrup before straining the cocktail.
- Serve with ladyfingers: Turn this drink into a dessert with ladyfingers by either laying one on top of the glass as a garnish or serving it with a plate of ladyfingers on the side. Your guests can dip them into the glass to soak—just like they are soaked in espresso in the traditional dessert.
