UNEB to Release UCE Examination Results Tomorrow
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to release the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination results tomorrow, February 11, 2025. This release is particularly significant as it encompasses results from both the New Lower Secondary Curriculum (NLSC) pioneers and transitional candidates.

A total of 142,009 candidates registered for the examination, marking a 22.1% increase from the 110,579 candidates in the previous year. Of these, 35,661 candidates (25.1%) were government-sponsored under the Universal Post O’Level Education and Training (UPOLET) program, compared to 24,679 in the prior year. The remaining 106,348 candidates were privately sponsored. In terms of gender distribution, 61,968 (43.6%) candidates were female, while 80,041 (56.4%) were male.
To ensure the integrity and smooth conduct of the examination, UNEB deployed 991 contracted professionals and 470 security personnel.
The upcoming release follows a briefing session by UNEB to the Minister of Education and Sports, who is also the First Lady, Mrs. Janet Museveni, held mid-last week.
As students, parents, and educators await the results, this release marks a pivotal moment in Uganda’s education sector, especially with the integration of the new curriculum.
