Usain Bolt Named EXPO 2027 Ambassador

Sprint icon Usain Bolt has taken on a new global role—this time not on the track, but on the world stage—as ambassador for EXPO 2027, set to be hosted in Belgrade, Serbia.

Bolt met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Tuesday, where the two held a joint press conference announcing the partnership. The eight-time Olympic gold medalist, known for his lightning speed and charisma, expressed gratitude for the opportunity and admiration for Serbia’s athletic legacy.

“I know great players and sports stars from your country, and for me, it’s an honour to actually be here for the first time,” Bolt said.

The Jamaican legend emphasized the enduring value of sport, particularly for young people.

“It’s crucial and something that I continue supporting and loving, even though I’m retired,” he added. “I love sports and I love play.”

EXPO 2027 Belgrade will bring together over 120 nations, offering a global platform for innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Interactive exhibitions and visionary programs will focus on shaping a brighter, more sustainable future.

With Bolt as its ambassador, the Expo is set to gain not only international attention but also inspiration from a man who turned passion, discipline, and play into a legacy of excellence.
