After winning Miss UMCAT Contest in 2014, I realized I can make it – Miss Uganda Oliver Nakakande Reveals.
Oliver Nakakande, Miss Uganda 2019/20 on Monday 19th August paid a courtesy visit to the home of Uganda’s leading Journalism and Multimedia Institution in Bukesa-Nakulabye where she spoke to students on how she made it.
“I personally never had this dream at first, but after winning Miss UMCAT Contest in 2014, I realized I can make it. My zeal, commitment and desire to become a go-getter got amplified! That’s how I joined the Miss Uganda beauty Pageant and I want to assure you, this is not the end of the game, I’m still pushing on so hard, I want to bring the Miss World Crown home!” Nakakande said.
Miss Uganda is among the over 400 students set to graduate on 30th August in different disciplines of diploma, Certificate and Short courses.
Speaking to the continuing students in the school main hall, Nakakande besought the girls to remain focused and not to backtrack on their passion and dreams because it takes an extra effort to make it to the top.
UMCAT School of journalism, Mass communication was established in 1996 with the aim of providing progressive and highly relevant professional training and education in Journalism, Multimedia Communication and Business Management.
