Belmond to manage Hotel Romazzino

Hotel Romazzino

Belmond has announced an agreement with Sardegna Resorts S.r.l. to manage the Hotel Romazzino. Under the management of the luxury hotel company, the establishment will be called Romazzino, A Belmond Hotel, Costa Smeralda.

Hotel Romazzino will join the brand’s portfolio from 2024. Under the Belmond brand, the hotel will offer rooms, suites, and villas to guests. It will also have two swimming pools, a private beach, and wellness facilities.

Guests will be able to enjoy adventures on land and sea as well as craft sessions. As regards F&B, Romazzino will feature a range of restaurants and bars where local products will be given pride of place.

The hotel is located on the Spiaggia Del Romazzino beach in Sardinia. It was designed in the ’60s by architect Michele Busiri Vici in an authentic Sardinian style. The site is notable for its harmonious whitewashed buildings with curved lines and arched windows.

The agreement strengthens Belmond’s position in Italy. The hotel joins eight other properties and the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, A Belmond Train in the company’s Italian portfolio.

We are delighted to add the Romazzino to our portfolio. This strengthens Belmond’s luxury offering in Italy. This agreement is part of a strategic expansion that will see unique properties join our remarkable collection of experiences, which are already steeped in history and rich heritage. The Costa Smeralda embodies all aspects of villeggiatura, the Italian concept of a long and peaceful summer, which is the philosophy of our Italian hotels. With its white sandy beach, stunning scenery, and numerous activities, the Romazzino brings back the charm of the 1960s to Sardinia’s first ever beachfront hotel.
