Former The Voice Contestant Jeremy Rosado Opens Up about God’s Goodness on The Kelly Clarkson Show

Jeremy Rosado, a season 21 finalist of The Voice, recently opened up about his Christian faith and testified about God’s goodness on the daytime talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Clarkson was Rosado’s coach during his time on The Voice. He recently signed a major recording contract with Capitol Christian Music Group.

On Clarkson’s show, Rosado also performed his new single “Believe You Will.” He explained that the song is about trusting in God amid hardships. In his case, Rosado shared that he became an adoptive parent to his niece when he was just 21 years old.

“I love my sister, but she’s had a struggle that’s never allowed her to be the mom she needed to be,” Rosado explained. He then recalled telling God, “I need you to show up. I need you to do what you promised you would do.”

According to The Christian Post, Rosado became emotional as he testified about God’s goodness. Clarkson, who grew up in church, was also brought to tears.

“I’m living in the goodness of God. He’s been so faithful to us,” the Christian singer said. “And so that’s what this song is about.”

He added that he wants to release music “that allows people to connect and be able to just draw from those complicated and hard situations.”

Clarkson noted that her belief in God and growing up in a Christian home made her realize that her musical gift was much bigger than herself.

“You’re the vessel for something bigger. That’s very helpful,” she said.

Following the brief conversation, Rosado performed his new single before the audience.

“Turn my sorrow into joy / Calm the storm with just Your voice / Do everything You said You would / I believe, I believe, I believe You will,” the lyrics read in part.

Last August, Rosado told The Christian Post that signing his record deal was a dream come true.

“It’s been a decade since I started pursuing this career, so many years of ups and downs. So, to be here now feels unreal,” he said. “I’m just so thankful to God; He has far surpassed anything I could think or imagine, and I can’t wait to see where He takes me on this journey!” he declared.

When he was on The Voice, Clarkson believed that Rosado would be embraced by the Christian music industry.

“Whatever your next move is, Jeremy, I have no doubt that gospel music, Christian music, is going to wrap their arms around that beautiful, God-given talent that you have,” Clarkson told him.
