Taylor Swift Donates $50,000 to Mother of 5 Whose Husband Died of COVID-19

Taylor Swift is helping another mother impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with a generous $50,000 donation.

On Tuesday (March 23), Swift and her mom Andrea donated the exact goal amount of a GoFundMe dedicated to Vickie Quarles, the mother of five daughters whose husband, Theodis Ray Quarles, died of COVID-19. Their donation made the fundraiser’s total amount for the Quarles family $61,268 at press time.

Back in December, the Folklore singer donated a very on-brand amount of $13,000 to two mothers via their GoFundMe pages who were struggling to pay their bills during the pandemic. She was inspired by a Washington Post article that spotlighted Americans who were behind on rent.
