Taylor Swift Shows Love to Halsey for Artistry and Risk Taking on New Album: ‘I’m Blown Away’

Halsey, who was obviously moved by the kind words, responded: “Thank you T … means so so much.”

This isn’t the first time the music stars have shown support for each another. Last year, Halsey sent a special thank you to Swift for spending her quarantine writing and releasing her surprise album, Evermore.

“I just love @taylorswift13 for committing to bringing so much magic to a time in which she knows so many of her fans may be suffering,” Halsey tweeted. “This is the least profitable era of music we’ve lived to see and she’s working very hard because it makes people happy. That’s really somethin’.”

Halsey also came to Swift’s defense when the “Willow” singer publicly accused Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta of blocking her from performing her old music as part of their purchase of her masters.

Halsey’s If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, released Friday (Aug. 27) through Capitol, was executive produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The 13-track project features special guests Dave Grohl, Fleetwood Mac’s Lindsey Buckingham, The Bug’s Kevin Martin, Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio, Pino Palladino, Karriem Riggins and Meat Beat Manifesto.

Halsey has described the release as “a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth. It was very important to me that the cover art conveyed the sentiment of my journey over the past few months.”
