I thank the Kabaka for the hospitality extended to my entourage and myself. – President Museveni.
The president of Uganda, His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has hailed the King of Buganda His Highness Ronald Muwenda Mutebi for the hospitality he showed him.
In a statement on his social media, Museveni reveals some of the things the two discussed in a meeting at Kabaka’s palace in banda which include
the kingdom’s property, land and financial arrears among others.
“I paid a courtesy call on my brother, His Highness Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, at his palace in Banda, Wakiso District. I thank him for the invitation.
We held a cordial meeting where we agreed that all pending issues involving the kingdom’s property, land and financial arrears be resolved soonest. I thank the Kabaka for the hospitality extended to my entourage and myself.” Says Museveni
This comes shortly after Museveni advised Ugandans to stop over- elevating the Kabaka. “Every time you talk about the king they are like ‘Okutunula Kabaka Mu Kamwa (loosely translated as you are disrespecting the king'” he said. He added that politics is about this kind of behaviour.
