‘Life-altering’ injuries in crash between two motorcycles, say OPP

Essex County OPP are continuing to investigate a crash between two motorcycles that resulted in grievous injuries.

Police said the incident happened on Thursday night on County Road 50 in the Municipality of Essex. OPP and Essex-Windsor EMS responded just before 7:30 p.m.
Emergency responders determined that two motorcycles had collided head-on.
Both motorcycle riders were transported to hospital for treatment. Police described one of the rider’s injuries as “life-altering.”
The section of County Road 50 was temporarily closed while the scene was examined and eventually cleared.
OPP West Region traffic incident specialists were brought in to investigate.
No further details were released Friday.
