New O Level Curriculum To Commence In 2020. – UNEB
The Ministry of Education and Sports has revealed that the implementation of the newly developed lower secondary curriculum will start in February 2020.
The new curriculum is competence based and will see a school teach 12 subjects at Senior One and Two of which 11 will be compulsory while one will be from an elective menu. (Optional).
Under the new curriculum, teachers will compile the learner’s achievements in the four year cycle, find an average score and submit it to Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) to contribute to at least 20 percent in the final examinations grading.
