Following comments from several artistes about fans stoning Bebe cool offstage at the Swangz Allstar concert, musician Sheebah Karungi has come out to give her opinion about the incident.
Below is Sheebah’s statement.
I Just Watched A Video That Made Me Sad 😥😥All Over Again Yet I Was Relieved Abit. On A Serious Note,
We Have To Change Our Mentality As Ugandans To Achieve The Change We Fighting For. It Starts With Us.
My Fellow UGANDANS,
Please Learn To Be Open Minded And Respectful To People’s Opinions, Even When You Don’t Agree. VIOLENCE Is NOT The Answer. IT WILL NEVER BE THE ANSWER. Instead, It Brings Tears And Sadness.
What You Did To @bebecool_ug Was SO WRONG & Disrespectful. Period.
He Was Hired There To Perform For His Fans So If Your Not, Stay Still Or Just Walk Out.
Imagine How The World Would Be If Violence Was The Only Way Every Time People Disagreed With Each Other? Seriously, Think About It.
We Have To Be BETTER UGANDANS FOR A BETTER UGANDA. Some Things Are Out Of Our Hands But This Was In Your Hands.
And Please Don’t Get Me Wrong,
I Don’t Like Politics And I Don’t Care About It But I Passionately Care About Equal Human Rights.
Just Like Malcolm x
” I’m For Truth No Matter Who Tells It.
I’m For Justice, No Matter Who Its For Or Against. ”
Happy Birthday @bebecool_ug
Bebe cool has however come out and promised not o bow to intimidation by Bobi Wine fans.
Update: We have however learnt that Sheebah pulled down the post and had this to say.
I Hate Being Misunderstood.
That’s Y I Removed My Last Post.
Y’all Turned It Into Political Parties And You Missed The Point.
Those That Know Me Know How I Feel About VIOLENCE. I REALLY DONT THINK ITS THE ANSWER. NONSTOP. VIOLENCE IS DANGEROUS. IT RESULTS TO WARS.
But, My Fans Think I Should Stay Out Of It. I Will.
